Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3)

Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3) - Tarryn Fisher If in The Opportunist we had Olivia's POV and in Dirty Red Leah's POV, now it's time for Caleb to give us a glimpse of his mind, heart and soul. And what an emotional roller coaster ride it is!Love is patient; love is kind.Love doesn't boast or brag. There's no arrogance in love;it's never rude, crude, or indecent-it's not self absorbed.Love isn't easily upset.Love doesn't tally wrongs.Love trusts, hopes, and endures no matter what.Love will never become obsolete.I'll fight for her. In this one, besides getting the events after Leah's revelation by the end of Dirty Red, we get flashbacks in many key scenes from the previous books but in his perspective and finally giving the answers to all the questions left answered. But one thing prevails among everything in this story...the love Olivia and Caleb feel for each other. It's deep, true and all consuming. And no matter how long they stay apart or the web of lies that keeps hurting them, they end up drawn to each other. Again and again.Because bottom line...But how Caleb can show Olivia that they can truly work? That he is worth the fight? That they're meant to be together? She has the kind of love that can stain your soul, make you beg not to have one, just to escape the spell she's put you under.I've tried to break myself of her over and over, but it's pointless. I've got more of her in my veins than blood. And that's the thing about them, no matter all the side characters, for me they eclipse everything else. They're truly imperfectly perfect...They're flawed characters, they make terrible mistakes, they can be rash or even immature but through the story, you can see that in their core ,they are good people. And that they grow or try to learn from their mistakes. It really does says a lot about an author that makes you care deeply for her characters even when sometimes, you want to hit some sense in them. Lies, it sounds demented to want a woman's lies. But, Olivia loves you with her lies. She lies about how she's feeling, how she's hurting, how she wants you when she tells you she doesn't. She lies to protect you and herself. And despite the lies, we realize that Caleb is the only one that truly know Olivia, and she is the one that truly knows him.The story still have lots of twists and turns, that I'm controlling myself not to spoil anyone. Let's just say that many scenes left me infuriated and other heartbroken...And Leah?I thought You couldn't get worse and I couldn't hate you more...I was mistaken!**************Anyway, this book was one of the my most anticipated books of this year and I had really high expectation of it! And Thief exceeded them all!In some ways, I always dread to write reviews for books I truly love ,books that one way or another have become a part of me. Stories that touch me beyond believe, stories that I think about days and days after I read them, stories that I know will stay with me forever. How can I ever make the book/series justice? I do try the best I can :DI know leave you all with parts of the lyrics of one of my favorite songs and that kept popping to my mind while reading this book...♪♪My whole life waiting for the right timeTo tell you how I feel.Know I try to tell you that I need you. Here I am without you.I feel so lost but what can I do?'Cause I know this love seems realBut I don't know how to feel.♪♪ ~Stay by HurtsA BIG THANK YOU to my bestie Ana Rita, for offering me a copy of the book!
