Avoiding Commitment (Avoiding, #1)

Avoiding Commitment - K.A. Linde Just WOW, i loved this book.I was so enthralled by it, by Jack's and Lexi's story. Now, it all begins when Lexi receives a call from Jack (they haven't speak in 2 years) and he asks her to come to Atlanta, and talk to his current girlfriend about their story and how he can commit (in fact he just wants the girlfriend to get of his back about it...a twisted way to do it,right?). And Lexi says yes...One of the awesome things about it, is that the story alternates between the past and the present, so we get to know how they met and how it all evolved from there. And how history tends to repeat itself over and over again. Yeah, many times i just wanted to slap them both and put some sense into their thick skulls. Their timing was always wrong and i just kept thinking in that song "I can't live with or without you" should really be their song.BUT they have this CRAZY and AMAZING chemistry and they're so alike that i can't help thinking that they’re meant to be.Yes, it's true their timing is always wrong,it seems when you think they’re going to be finally together, BAM, it doesn't happen! Especially because they can bring the best and the worst in each other, and only they have the power to hurt beyond repair.I lost count the amount of times that I yelled at my kindle, that I got frustrated, teary, happy…yep, this book is just such an emotional roller coaster, and I do think the book should come with an warning : BE CAUTIOUS, YOU WILL FEEL TO MUCH WHILE READING IT!!If that wasn't enough, Ramsey gets in the picture (Jack’s girlfriend brother) and I can say that I fell for him too,by him invading her personal space (sounds bad but the scenes where hilarious), hoe he is funny and sincere, how he can surprise and get under her skin, and just how he looks at her. And yep, they too have some crazy chemistry going on.I will shut up now, I’m containing myself not to spoil anyone, but this book sure is one of my favorites reads of the year. I’m a sucker for all that angst and such flawed characters, that I want to see redeem themselves in the end.Off to read the second one!!!!!p.s- Oh and this book has one of the best villains, imo, and I was so not expecting that twist in the story.Eheh, did I got you curious? Go read it then =)
